Troubles by the Score is the second EP released by Finnish waster rockers King of None. Featuring three and a half action-packed songs, the EP contains some feels and some reals. The title describes the album's recording and mixing process and is inspired by the wastelands of Mojave and forests of Kilo. A lot of time was wasted being wasted recording this album thanks to beer pong and inefficient group dynamics, which weren't surprisingly corrected by drinking more. All in all, the band grew a lot during this EP's recording process. The lyrical themes of the album deal with interstellar space travel gone wrong (or horribly right) with your loved ones, trading addictions and truths in light of existential pain, a representation of the unleashed superego and competition/altruism within a group in relation to their past images of themselves. The band's sound has evolved and become much tighter, leaving the confines of the stoner rock genre, exploring new ways to riffage.
